Cap Cords / Straps

The military Cap Cord or field caps are meant to be worn on a Class A uniform jacket in a dress green or dress blue and a Class B shirt. Unit commanders can sanction the other color cords, which correspond to the various army branches, to be worn during particular events.

The shoulder cord is worn on the right shoulder and crosses under the arm and over the right shoulder under the shoulder loop, attached to the shoulder loop’s button.
